Mike Feeley, Chairman
Mike Feeley served eight years as a state senator (D), seven of those as minority leader. During his tenure, he passed significant legislation involving telecommunications, tax reform and civil rights. He is an attorney with the Denver office of Isaacson Rosenbaum LLP.

Linda Shoemaker, Vice-Chair
Linda Shoemaker is president of the Brett Family Foundation and the founding chair of the Bell Policy Center. She is also a former president of the Boulder Valley School Board. Linda practiced law for more than 10 years with Holme Roberts & Owen in Denver and Brauchli & Snyder in Boulder. Before becoming an attorney, she was a journalist and owned a weekly newspaper in Glenwood Springs.

Al Meiklejohn
Al Meiklejohn served as a state senator (R) from 1977 to 1996, where he was involved inmany education leadership roles, including serving as chair of the Senate Education Committee. He is an attorney with Jones & Keller, P.C.

Penfield Tate III, ex-officio as chairman of the Bell Policy Center board of directors
Penfield Tate III, an associate with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was a candidate for mayor of Denver in 2003. He served as state senator from 2001-2003 and in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1999-2002. In addition, he has served as executive director of the Colorado Department of Administration during the Romer administration, as an aide to former Denver Mayor Federico Peña, and as a transition team co-chair for Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.
